The foundation of religion is faith in God, which arises from undeniable truth and is accepted by reason. If there is any truth denied by the rational mind, it is implied that religion is irrational. Every human who is blessed with the capacity to think, should use it wisely to truly know God.

The following are arguments concerning the attributes of God that are: universally accepted by all rational minds. This article is intended for those who are rational. Those who are irrational, well... maybe this article is not for you (just get out... :D )

Simple principle:

God is not the same as creation.
The Creator is not the same as creation.

Therefore, from these simple principles, several conclusions follow:

• Creation exists because God made it to exist; God exists without anything making or causing God to exist.
• Creation has a beginning and an end; God exists without any beginning and end, because time itself (including the concepts of beginning and end) is also creation made by God. He is Self-Existing, Without Origin
• Creation has parents (or comes from another entity); God exists without being born
• Creation can incarnate within another creation; God does not incarnate. Incarnation is something that only occurs within the realm of creation itself.
  
  If someone objects:
  "God is Almighty and Omnipotent. Isn't it possible that the Supreme God could 'enter' His small creation?
  
  Answer:
  "God has no business to incarnate into His own creation. To fight evil?
  Doesn't it mean that the power of God and evil balance?
  Doesn't it mean God is not the Omnipotent?"
  
  
• Creation has names derived from the Name-Giver; God has no name; No one gives a name to God (except Himself, so His creation can call Him)
• Creation has form; God has no form. God creates every form.
• Creation has color; God has no color. God creates every color.
• Creation has smell; God has no smell. God creates every smell.
• Creation exists within space and time. It has direction (left-right-above-below-front-behind-side) and is affected by time. God doesn't need any place, not within space and direction, not affected by time. God has no need for His creation. God does not reside in the sky (like the stars), nor in heaven. God is the Greatest; hence, it is impossible for creation such as the sky and heaven to "contain" God.
• Creation moves: it comes and goes, rises and falls, appears and disappears. God, is not subject to any movement and change. God does not move nor go, does not rise and fall, does not appear and disappear.

Simply put, the attributes of creation can be grouped into the following categories:

1. Visible things: have forms that can be seen and touched, e.g., the body of a human, animal, plant, etc.
2. Invisible things: have forms that cannot be seen and touched, e.g., wind, odor, angel, devil, spirit, etc.
3. Things that resemble light: Sunlight, thunder, lamp, etc, including angels
4. Every attribute of creation: good-bad, tall-short, white-black, hard-soft, etc

None of these are like God. Any God that can be pictured, sketched, sculpted, and compared to this or that; the God that can be represented by something, it means it is not the real God. It is a false "God" made by humans.

So, is it difficult to know God?

Begin by learning what is not God.

Those who are rational are sure that God is not the same as His creation.
That is called firm belief.

Religion is belief, not doubt.

• This is the evidence that Islam is rahmatan lil'alamin, the religion of mercy. Even without reciting any verse or hadith, we can introduce the concept of God to anyone.
